the Hyde Park School of Dance by Amanda Levitt
Over time the dance community, especially ballet, has received the reputation of being all white and all female. However, the Hyde Park School of Dance (HPSD) pushes against this stereotype for a wider range of diversity. HPSD is a non-profit that offers dancers of all ages and skill levels teaching in ballet, modern, jazz, and hip-hop dance. In rehearsal, these young dancers are being fitted for their production in the Spring Concert only a few weeks away.
